Overview Registered Nurse – L&D (Labor & Delivery) Travel Assignment in Newark, NY, United States. Start date 08/10/2026 for a 13-week assignment. Shift: Nights, 3x12 (1900–0730). Weekly pay: $2,270–$2,280. Guaranteed hours: Not guaranteed. Setting: hospital-level obstetric unit with Labor & Delivery and Newborn Nursery (LDRP). Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,270–$2,280 per week - Contract length: 13 weeks - Shift: Nights, 3x12 (1900–0730) - Start date: 08/10/2026 - Unit: Labor & Delivery with Newborn Nursery; obstetric and newborn care - On-call required with rotating weekends (every other weekend); floating within skillset Responsibilities - Triage obstetric patients and provide labor support, immediate vaginal recovery, postpartum care, and newborn care - Perform neonatal assessment and resuscitation as needed, including APGAR scoring and use of equipment such as Neo-puff - Circulate, scrub, and assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections; support C-section recovery - Monitor fetal status using external and internal monitoring; recognize and respond to abnormal fetal heart patterns - Manage postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, magnesium sulfate therapy, IV access, drips, and epidural management - Document in EPIC and collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary for coordinated care Requirements - Active New York RN license in hand (to submit) - Minimum 1 year of acute hospital RN experience - Required clinical experience in labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum (LDRP) and newborn nursery - Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP required; ERM certification preferred - Ability to provide care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn phases; capable of scrubbing/circulating for Cesarean deliveries - Availability for night shift and on-call requirements; floating within defined skillset - Note: Applicants located within 75 miles of the assignment facility are not accepted Benefits and Support - Dedicated recruiter and travel support throughout the assignment - Credentialing and licensing assistance to facilitate onboarding - EPIC charting support and access to assignment-specific resources - Ongoing assignment support to help ensure a smooth start and transition Find more opportunities If you’d like to explore other openings with Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please apply at https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
