Overview Registered Nurse - L&D in Templeton, California, United States. Start date 08/17/2026 for an 8-week travel assignment. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,524–$2,637 per week - Guaranteed hours: 36 per week - Contract duration: 8 weeks - Shift: 3x12-hour nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) - Location: Templeton, CA - Setting: Labor and delivery unit in a short-term acute care hospital - Epic EMR experience required Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum, including monitoring maternal status, contractions, and fetal well-being. - Administer and manage prescribed medications and analgesia, monitor responses, and document outcomes in the electronic health record (Epic). - Assist with labor and delivery, cesarean sections as needed, and provide newborn care including resuscitation when required. - Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesia, nursing colleagues, and neonatal staff to coordinate care and ensure patient safety. - Educate patients and families on labor plans, postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care; participate in discharge planning and teaching. - Maintain infection control standards, aseptic technique, and accurate charting; respond to emergencies in a timely, professional manner.
