Overview Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (L&D) in a travel assignment within a Critical Access Hospital setting. Location: Salida, Colorado, US. Start date: August 13, 2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,442–$2,542 per week. Guaranteed hours: 24 per week. Shift: Nights. This assignment is a temporary travel role with a focus on obstetric care in the labor, delivery, and postpartum continuum. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,442–$2,542 per week - Guaranteed hours: 24 hours per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Nights - Start date: August 13, 2026 - Work setting: Critical Access Hospital - Travel assignment support and onboarding assistance - Extension opportunities depending on department needs Responsibilities - Directly provide patient care and monitor labor, delivery, and postpartum status; assist with breastfeeding education as needed - Promote maternal wellness during pregnancy and after delivery through ongoing education - Educate parents on infant care and care plans for mother and baby - Document all events, interventions, and education in the patient’s electronic medical record - Communicate patient status verbally and in writing to physicians and nursing leadership - Collaborate with the nursery team to coordinate mother/baby care and assist with procedures as required - Respond to emergencies and assist staff across units as necessary - Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment within the Labor and Delivery unit Requirements - Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado - Minimum of an Associate Degree (ADN) from an accredited nursing program - Two years of labor and delivery experience required - BLS and NRP required; PALS preferred - Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays in a labor/delivery setting - Proficient in documenting care and communicating with the care team Benefits and Support - Assignment-specific support from a dedicated recruiter and travel team - Credentialing and onboarding assistance to facilitate a smooth start - Transparent pay and scheduling communications throughout the assignment - Ongoing support for extension opportunities and future openings within the organization Find more opportunities Interested in other travel nursing roles?
