Overview Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery (L&D) is a travel assignment in Newark, New York. This 13-week contract is scheduled for nights (3×12-hour shifts, 1900–0730) in a hospital setting. Weekly pay ranges from $2,390 to $2,505, with no guaranteed hours. On-call coverage is required, and weekend coverage rotates every other weekend. The unit covers LDRP and Newborn Nursery care. Start date is 08/10/2026. NYC RN license in hand is required to submit. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,390–$2,505 per week - Guaranteed hours: 0.0 - Contract length: 13 weeks - Shift: Nights, 3×12-hour shifts (1900–0730) - Start date: 08/10/2026 - Setting: Hospital - On-call: Required - Weekend coverage: Rotating every other weekend - Floating: Required within skill set - Location restrictions: Applicants within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive LDRP care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn phases; support triage and initial assessment of laboring patients - Triage and monitor laboring patients, manage external/internal fetal monitoring, recognize abnormal fetal patterns, and intervene as needed - Assist, scrub, and circulate for vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections; support postpartum recovery and newborn care - Perform newborn assessments, basic resuscitation as needed (APGAR, Neo-puff), and coordinate with newborn care teams - Manage postpartum care, including hemorrhage prevention and magnesium sulfate therapy when indicated; administer IVs, drips, infusion pumps, and epidural care as appropriate - Document in EPIC; ensure effective handoffs and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response, Unit Secretary) Requirements - NYC (New York City) RN license in hand to submit - ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required - Minimum 1 year of acute hospital RN experience - Required clinical experience in labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum (LDRP) and Newborn Nursery - Ability to provide care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn phases - On-call availability and able to work 1900–0730 shifts - Knowledge of EPIC charting - Candidate location: must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility to be considered Benefits and Support - Dedicated account manager and travel support - Credentialing and onboarding assistance - Ongoing support throughout the assignment - Access to a structured travel healthcare network through Healthforce Healthcare LLC Find more opportunities For additional openings available through Healthforce Healthcare LLC, please visit https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply to view current travel nursing roles and apply.
