Overview Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology (IR) | Radiology specialty | Rochester, New York | Start 08/03/2026 | 13-week travel assignment | $2,724-$2,797 per week | 40 hours per week expected | 4x10-hour shifts | Acute care/interventional radiology service line Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,724 – $2,797 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Four 10-hour shifts per week - Start date: August 3, 2026 - Work setting: acute care/interventional radiology procedures environment - Travel assignment requiring active RN licensure in New York and strong IR telemetry skills Responsibilities - Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures (e.g., biopsies, embolizations, ablations, angiography, drain placements) and verify consent and pre-procedure requirements. - Monitor patients intra-procedure, including telemetry when indicated, and respond to changes in patient status with appropriate action. - Provide post-procedure recovery care in PACU or extended stay areas, including discharge planning and patient education. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and ensure adherence to infection prevention and safety protocols. - Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient assessments, vitals, medications, and post-procedure instructions in the health record. - Coordinate with unit and procedural teams to manage equipment, supplies, and patient flow during fast-paced interventional suites.
