Overview Registered Nurse – Telemetry (Travel) Location: California, United States Start date: 08/03/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Weekly pay: $1,629–$1,747 per week Guaranteed hours: 48 per week Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital, Telemetry This travel RN role provides coordinated nursing care for telemetry patients in a short-term acute care hospital. The nurse works with the interdisciplinary team to manage cardiac conditions using the nursing process, while supervising more junior staff and ensuring safe discharge planning. Telemetry experience is required, with the possibility to float to medical-surgical units as needed. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $1,629–$1,747 per week - Guaranteed hours: 48 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts - Start date: 08/03/2026 - Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital, Telemetry Responsibilities - Deliver direct bedside care to telemetry/cardiac patients, including monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and performing IV therapy as prescribed. - Interpret rhythm strips, recognize changes in patient condition, and respond quickly to emergencies; collaborate with the treating team to adjust care plans. - Develop and implement patient care plans, coordinate care delivery across disciplines, and participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. - Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge needs; document care activities accurately in the medical record. - Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff; delegate appropriately and coordinate duties with other team members to maintain safe, efficient care. Requirements - Active RN license in California (or state of practice) and current licensure as required by the practicing state. - BLS and ACLS (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) certification required; Basic Life Support (BLS) through an approved vendor per policy. - Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry/Cardiac nursing experience; strong EKG interpretation, IV therapy, and cardiac patient care skills required. - BSN preferred. - Ability to work night shifts (3x12-hour schedule) and float to medical-surgical units as needed.
