Overview
Navy Federal Credit Union is seeking an experienced UX Designer to support the modernization of internal tools used by Member Service Representatives. This role will focus on replacing legacy systems with scalable, intuitive, and user-centered digital experiences that improve employee workflows and enhance member service delivery.
The UX Designer will collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Business Analysts, and UX teams to create development-ready solutions aligned with enterprise design standards and accessibility requirements. Experience working within enterprise environments and familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics platforms is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design intuitive, modern user experiences for employee-facing enterprise applications and internal service tools
Translate complex legacy workflows into streamlined, user-centered interfaces and interactions
Create high-fidelity UX/UI designs, prototypes, wireframes, and interaction specifications ready for engineering handoff
Apply and contribute to enterprise design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and accessibility compliance
Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Engineering teams to define requirements and deliver effective solutions
Collaborate with Microsoft Dynamics development teams to support platform-integrated experiences
Participate in Agile ceremonies including intake, refinement, sprint planning, and design reviews
Identify workflow inefficiencies, usability gaps, and operational risks within existing systems and propose optimized solutions
Conduct usability validation activities and iterate designs based on stakeholder and user feedback
Ensure alignment with enterprise accessibility standards, compliance requirements, and UX best practices
Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional experience in UX Design, UI Design, or Product Design
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX design for complex enterprise or large-scale applications
Proficiency in Figma for interface design, prototyping, and design system management
Experience delivering development-ready designs with detailed interaction and functional specifications
Strong collaboration experience working directly with engineering teams in Agile environments
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing internal tools, operational platforms, or employee-facing systems
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar enterprise platforms
Experience modernizing or replacing legacy systems
Strong understanding of accessibility standards, including WCAG compliance
Experience within financial services or other regulated industries
Familiarity with Agile delivery tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps
