About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead UX Designer to join our dynamic team at Tanla Platforms Limited. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design thinking mindset and proven leadership capabilities, capable of driving comprehensive user experience initiatives across our product ecosystem. As a key member of our collaborative, fast-paced environment, you will work closely with product managers, engineers, and architects to craft intuitive, scalable, and impactful user experiences. This role requires ownership of the design vision, mentorship of junior designers, and ensuring consistency, usability, and excellence in every aspect of our digital products.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a compelling portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design projects. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in design or an equivalent practical background is essential. You should possess extensive experience in designing for web, mobile, and responsive platforms, with a strong understanding of SaaS/CPaaS environments being a significant advantage. Expertise across all design phases—including user research, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, and visual design—is required. Proven leadership skills in guiding cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders around a shared design vision are critical. Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Whimsical, along with excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills, are necessary. The ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints effectively is vital for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Lead comprehensive UX design processes, from initial research and ideation to wireframing, prototyping, and final delivery, ensuring high-quality output at each stage.
Define and execute the overall design vision and strategy across multiple product lines, aligning with business goals and user needs.
Create detailed user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity UI mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
Develop and maintain scalable design systems and style guides to ensure consistency and efficiency across platforms and products.
Collaborate closely with product managers, engineering teams, and leadership to influence product direction, prioritize features, and implement user-centric solutions.
Conduct usability testing and evaluations, leveraging user feedback and data analytics to continuously refine and improve the product experience.
Write clear, detailed design specifications to facilitate seamless handoff to engineering teams, ensuring fidelity and quality in implementation.
Review engineering implementations, provide constructive feedback, and ensure adherence to design standards and best practices.
Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.
Drive cross-functional alignment by advocating for user-centric design decisions and ensuring that user experience remains a priority throughout the product development lifecycle.
