ADMNSERV03182026-2JOB TITLE: Vault Checker Weekend NightsWORK LOCATION: Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898 Bldg 5400 PART-TIME (hours per week: 24) – Duty hours vary by shift. Your work hours would be 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Saturday and Sunday.EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: High School or GED required.EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:1-2 years’ experience in an office settingProficiency in utilizing the Microsoft Office suite and general computer operation is requiredWorking knowledge of answering phones and greeting visitorsAdditional Preferred Qualifications: Experience with security regulations required for working in secure buildingsOTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Resume submitted with job application requiredCurrent/active secret-level, security clearance mandatoryMust be authorized for coverage under agency insurance if operating agency vehicle, government/customer vehicle, and/or personal vehicle for work purposes; have a good driving record, valid driver’s license, and/or required level of personal auto insuranceMust be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, per company requirements.Ability to communicate with tact and maintain confidentialityAdequate ability to communicate in spoken conversation – adequate volume of speech.Adequate ability in writing/reading/mathematicsAbility to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peersExperience with proven analytical and multi-tasking skillsSuperior listening, verbal, and written communication skillsIMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:Project ManagerPOSITIONS SUPERVISED (or Team Lead responsibilities, if applicable):NoneJOB RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:Perform scheduled vault checks to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activities. Stay alert for any unusual behavior, unlocked doors, or signs of forced entry, and report findings immediately. Oversee entry points by verifying the identity of individuals attempting to gain access. Use identification checks, visitor logs, and access control systems to warrant that only authorized personnel are admitted. Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances: React immediately to alarms by assessing the situation and determining the appropriate response. Investigate the cause of the alarm, contact emergency services if needed, and neutralize threats.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ability to walk 1.5 miles 4 times during a 12-hour workday.Ability to drive from designated buildings to other locations during daylight hours and nighttime hours without any problems.Must have a driver’s license and have the authorized coverage under agency insurance to maintain a good driving record and be able to drive on the job.Maintain the door checks at a schedule of every 3-hour rotation and make sure all doorway locations are secure and noted on the log sheet at each location, an SF 702.Reads and responds to e-mails from supervisors and customersBeing proficient in English (oral and written communications)Interact with co-workers, other professionals, and interested parties professionally.Utilize Microsoft Office software programs and specific government-required softwareComply with organizational Operations Security and Information Security requirementsArrive on time and ready to work the assigned scheduleProvide a high level of customer service to all patrons, coworkers, and other interested partiesTake direction, interact, and maintain open communication with supervisor/leadMust be able to obtain/maintain a secret-level security clearanceWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Adequate conversation is required for conversation, telephone use, and emergency information systems.Ability to independently mobilize on all surfaces and in all situationsAbility to move safely around the work area.Ability to retrieve items from high and low areasAbility to perceive size, discrimination, temperature, shapes, and/or texturesPhysical stamina to work at least 12 hours per day.EMOTIONAL CAPACITIES:Must be able to change routine in a positive manner.Must be able to follow through on assignments independently.Must have good organizational skills.Must have a long attention span to listen to people, perceive the real problems, and bring issues to a successful conclusion.Must be able to analyze many variables and choose the most effective course of action for the organization at any given point in time.Must possess effective oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.Must be able to maintain confidentialityMust have stable work behaviors daily.Must have adequate individual coping skills.Must be able to maintain good work attendance.Must be able to resolve problems, handle conflict, and make effective decisions even in an emergency.Must be able to exercise good judgment to maintain a safe work environment.NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Other duties as assigned"Phoenix is an equal opportunity employer.
