Warehouse Manager

You will be handling high-value customer products for one of the UK's most recognised high street retailers. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll lead a large operational team through your Shift Managers, ensuring exceptional service, safety, productivity, and performance across the site. You'll play a key role in driving operational excellence, leading transport and warehouse activities, managing budgets, improving processes, and creating an engaged, high-performing culture where people and customers come first. This is a full-time, permanent role, working Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00. Flexibility is required for the role. What you’ll do on a typical day: Lead, coach and develop operational teams to deliver outstanding customer service, site performance, and colleague engagement Drive a strong safety-first culture, ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, Safe Systems of Work, training requirements, and operational audits Manage operational budgets, resources, labour planning, and productivity to achieve financial and operational targets Build strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and swift resolution of operational issues Deliver continuous improvement initiatives across warehousing and transport operations, ensuring KPIs, SLAs, and customer expectations are consistently achieved or exceeded What you need to succeed at GXO: Proven leadership experience within a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operation. Strong understanding of operational performance management, resource planning, and budget control Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and develop high-performing teams Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, compliance requirements, and safe working practices within a logistics environment Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-moving operational setting We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
