Warehouse Team Leader

Here at GXO, we are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our Heinz contract based in Wigan . You will lead, motivate, and manage a team of operational colleagues on a daily basis, ensuring all statutory, safety, and company requirements are consistently met. You will help the site in the achievement of business objectives through efficient warehouse operations, strong people leadership, and effective use of warehouse management systems. This is a full time, permanent position and you’ll be working an “Any 5 out of 7”, rotating over 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 37.5 hours per week with 2 rest days. Pay, benefits and more: We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £34,624.60 and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts What you’ll do on a typical day: Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities to ensure productivity, quality, and service KPIs are achieved Lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring work is allocated effectively and completed within required timelines Monitor workflow and adjust resource allocation to meet operational demands and changing priorities Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues and resolve in a timely and effective manner Oversee workforce management using Kronos, including attendance, scheduling, and timekeeping compliance What you need to succeed at GXO: Previous Warehouse experience with management would be desirable Motivated self-starter, comfortable working as part of a team and as an individual Passion, drive and ambition to make a career in supply chain Good communicator with good influencing skills who can operate at all levels We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains GXO is a leading provider of cutting-edge supply chain solutions to the most successful companies in the world.
