As an Injury Management and Workers Compensation Claims Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in managing workers’ compensation claims from initial injury notification through to resolution. With a strong focus on claims management, liability assessment and legislative compliance, you will gather and analyse information, make evidence-based recommendations, and support timely and accurate decision-making in accordance with the SRC Act and organisational requirements. You will also be responsible for rehabilitation coordination with a focus on recovery and return-to-work outcomes. Role Type: 8 Months Secondment Role Location: 833 Collins Street, Docklands Victoria 3008 Work Hours: 40 hours / week (Full Time) What will your day look like? In addition, you will manage a range of non-work-related health and medical cases, providing practical support and guidance to employees and their People Leaders while maintaining a focus on positive outcomes, employee wellbeing and consistent case management practices. You will take accountablility for delivering best‑practice case management and a positive employee experience, providing expert advice and guidance, navigating solutions, and escalating complex or unresolved matters where required. You will have a strong focus on risk management ensuring case management is in line with the relevant legislation and internal governance standards. Continuous improvement initiatives will be a key part of how you work, ensuring our approach remains effective, efficient and genuinely supportive of our people. What will you bring? To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following: Experience in managing Workers Compensation claims (Comcare or State-based jurisdiction) - at least 2 years’ experience preferred Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities Commitment to working as part of a team and sharing team responsibilities Demonstrated experience building collaborative, trusted relationships and communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders The ability to communicate with empathy while balancing multiple factors to deliver fair, meaningful outcomes Experience supporting and managing people with health and medical conditions Qualifications in personal injury, insurance, OHS or health related fields. You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills.
