Data Specialist

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Analyze and interpret operational data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, reporting needs, and performance objectives. Identify relevant data sources and contribute to defining requirements for data utilization and reporting. Ensure consistent application of business definitions, metrics, and key performance indicators. Develop, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions using platforms such as Power BI, DOMO, or similar Business Intelligence tools. Translate business requirements into user-friendly and effective reporting solutions. Support the standardization and continuous improvement of operational reporting practices. Monitor and improve the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data used in reporting and analysis. Investigate data discrepancies and collaborate with relevant teams to implement corrective actions. Contribute to Data Governance and Data Quality initiatives and standards. Document data sources, business rules, reporting logic, and analytical methodologies. Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, and Business Intelligence teams to improve reporting and analytics capabilities. Support testing and validation activities for new data sources, integrations, and data models. Provide guidance to users regarding reporting tools and interpretation of data insights. Participate in digital transformation and process improvement initiatives. Help identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and best practices in data management and reporting. Support compliance with company policies related to information security, ethics, health and safety, environmental standards, and international trade compliance requirements. For This Role, You Will Need: Experience working with data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or a related field. Working knowledge of data analytics concepts and reporting methodologies. Experience using Power BI, DOMO, or similar Business Intelligence and visualization tools. Knowledge of SQL and data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong English language communication skills, both written and verbal. Commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: Experience working with ERP systems, particularly SAP. Exposure to data governance, data quality, or master data management practices. Experience supporting operational reporting and business performance analysis. Familiarity with digital transformation, process optimization, or automation initiatives. Ability to create clear documentation for data sources, reporting logic, and business requirements.
