Job Group Capability Engineering Job Group Equipment Technology & Infrastructure Job Role Description Responsible for applying fundamental engineering concepts to various classes of equipment including generators, power transmission, power distribution, electrical protection systems, emergency power systems, and specialty equipment. The position follows clear direction and procedures to address electrical engineering challenges that are routine and somewhat repetitive, builds business acumen and risk-based judgment to maximize value across the full lifecycle of oil and gas projects and operating assets through new equipment selection, failure analysis, maintenance support, technology application, and risk management activities. [Associate Electrical Engineer] Job Role Responsibilities Performance Analysis: Supports day-to-day support of electrical system, unit, or enterprise processes. Troubleshoots performance issues by leveraging fleet-wide operational data, OEM technical resources, and engineering best practices to resolve short-term reliability and efficiency concerns Maintenance Execution Optimization: Leverages broader fleet experience and OEM recommendation to develop initial outage work scopes, coordinate external outage planning reviews, supports detailed planning and execution, and capture post-outage lessons learned for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing Fleet Analysis: Provides outage and operational data through enterprise processes. Analyzes fleet-wide trends and communicates site specific improvement opportunities to site leadership to enhance asset performance and reliability Technology Advancement: Collaborates with senior engineers to identify, evaluate, and implement proven industry technologies that improve equipment performance, reliability, and maintainability Vendor Relationship Management: Engages in Communities of Practice (CoPs) and vendor technical meetings to ensure site-specific needs, operational learnings, and concerns are represented in fleet-wide strategic decisions and supplier engagements Your Benefits An ExxonMobil career is one designed to last and we provide job rotations throughout your career with us.
