Endpoint Engineer

Job Role We're hiring for an Endpoint Engineer to join our IT Services team, based in Hockley, with hybrid working considered. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced IT professional to take ownership of our endpoint and modern workplace technologies, helping to deliver secure, reliable, and user-focused digital experiences across the organisation. In this hands-on engineering role, you'll be responsible for the design, deployment, operation, security, and continual improvement of endpoint services across internal and customer environments. You'll act as a technical specialist for Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, endpoint security, device lifecycle management, application deployment, and Microsoft 365 integrations, ensuring devices remain secure, compliant, and easy to support. Working closely with Service Desk, Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Architecture, and project teams, you'll help deliver endpoint projects, support complex technical escalations, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our modern workplace services. We're looking for someone with strong endpoint engineering experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to technology. You'll be comfortable managing change, improving standards, and collaborating with a range of stakeholders to deliver great outcomes. In return for your dedication, knowledge, and commitment, we're offering a competitive salary of £52,000 to £56,000 and a fantastic benefits package including: • 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays + Birthday Day off (with the opportunity to buy additional days) • 2 Volunteer Days • Pension - 5% Employee / 5% Employer • Healthcare Cash Plan, including 3x salary life assurance • Annual salary review • Refer a friend scheme • Free access to Benefit Hub, including retail discounts, cycle to work scheme, and additional voluntary benefits Location: Hockley (Hybrid considered) Hours: Full Time, 37 hours per week Contract: Permanent Closing Date: 14th of October 2026 Key Responsibilities • Design, deploy, and support endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot. • Manage device configuration, compliance policies, security baselines, and deployment profiles. • Lead device lifecycle activities including provisioning, deployment, refresh, migration, and retirement. • Manage endpoint security, compliance, encryption, antivirus, and vulnerability remediation activities. • Package, test, deploy, and maintain endpoint applications and software updates. • Support endpoint-related projects, migrations, upgrades, and large-scale device rollouts. • Act as an escalation point for complex endpoint and Intune-related incidents and problems. • Create and maintain technical documentation, standards, knowledge articles, and deployment processes. Skills and Experience • Strong experience in endpoint engineering, modern workplace technologies, EUC, or systems administration. • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and device compliance management. • Experience with Windows deployment, application packaging, update management, and endpoint troubleshooting. • Good understanding of Conditional Access, Microsoft Defender, encryption, identity management, and endpoint security controls. • Experience delivering endpoint projects, migrations, operating system upgrades, or device rollouts. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to support both technical and non-technical colleagues. • Experience working within an MSP or multi-customer environment would be advantageous. • Microsoft certifications such as MD-102 or equivalent would be beneficial.
