About the team Our Finance team are a vital partner in every aspect of our business, providing commercial insights to drive our success and influence everything we do. With presence in every department, we analyse performance, and deliver actionable insights that shape our strategic decisions. About the role As Group Product Manager - Payments, you’ll lead the strategy, roadmap and delivery of products spanning payment switching, settlement & reconciliation, and payment terminal solutions. You’ll lead three experienced Product Managers while bringing together customer needs, industry trends, commercial priorities and regulatory requirements to set clear direction. Working across Retail Payment Solutions, technology, delivery teams, customers and external partners, you’ll turn that direction into meaningful outcomes at scale. You will also: Own and evolve product strategies, roadmaps and prioritised backlogs across Core products. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, customers, payment schemes, technology providers and vendors. Understand customer needs and market trends to shape compelling product requirements and value propositions. Partner with delivery and technology teams to progress initiatives through project and Agile environments. Support budgeting, business cases, commercial decisions, vendor management and profit and loss considerations. Lead, coach and develop Product Managers, creating clarity, accountability and a strong team culture. About you and your skills You’re an experienced payments product leader who can connect strategy with delivery, bring people together and confidently influence senior stakeholders without relying on positional authority. You combine strong customer judgement and commercial thinking with a respectful leadership style, helping experienced team members do their best work while keeping everyone focused on shared outcomes. You will have: Proven experience in a senior product management and delivery capacity, with Payments products across the end-to-end value chain. Experience working across payments services, cards or the broader financial services industry. Strong end-to-end product portfolio management experience, including building, managing and evolving products. Demonstrated experience developing and owning product strategies, roadmaps and prioritised backlogs. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills across senior leaders, customers and external partners. Proven customer engagement and product delivery capability within complex, cross-functional environments. Commercial capability across budgeting, business cases, vendor management and product performance. Strong understanding of the payments industry, key trends and emerging payment technologies.
