Job Title: Lead, Production Planning Job Code: 45598 Job Location: Huntsville, AL Job Schedule: 4/10: Employees work 10 hour days, 4 days a week Job Description: L3Harris is a leader in aerospace and defense propulsion technologies supporting domestic and international customers. Our Missile Propulsion Systems business provides solid and liquid propulsion solutions, including advanced tactical propulsion. We are seeking a Lead, Materials Planning to support operations at our new state‑of‑the‑art Advanced Manufacturing Facility (AMF) in Huntsville, AL, responsible for composite rocket motor hardware fabrication and assembly. In this role, you will lead materials planning execution and analysis across production and development programs. You will serve as a key resource for systems, processes, and best practices while collaborating daily with Assembly, Engineering, Program, and Procurement teams. The position also partners with other MRP analysts to assess requirements, troubleshoot complex issues, and support planning continuity. This role requires advanced experience with ERP/MRP systems and the ability to operate in a highly technical, fast‑paced environment. Essential Functions: • Use the ERP system (Oracle) to plan and execute manufacturing schedules, analyze and verify MBOMs, and release requisitions and shop orders for both dependent and independent demand requirements. • Identify material shortages, coordinate mitigation actions, and support schedule execution across fabrication, assembly, and test activities. • Track raw materials and finished parts throughout assembly and shop areas; coordinate with cross‑functional teams to support schedule commitments. • Interface with Program and Master Schedulers to support the Master Schedule, resolve conflicts across programs, and communicate schedule impacts and recovery actions. • Conduct analysis with the Materials Planning team to evaluate schedule disruptions and recommend improvements to avoid future impacts. • Serve as the focal point for Materials Planning best practices, training, troubleshooting complex issues, and developing tools/processes that enhance consistency and performance across the team. • Train other Centers of Excellence (COEs) on process updates, system usage, and planning changes. • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance. Ability to travel up to 25% Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 9 years of prior relevant experience; OR Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience; OR in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. • In‑depth knowledge and experience with Oracle ERP/MRP systems (Maestro), with ability to function as a subject‑matter expert in Materials Requirements Planning functionality. • Experience serving as a peer leader with demonstrated success in improving factory performance and completing enhancement initiatives. Preferred Additional Skills: • Experience developing tools or dashboards in partnership with Business Intelligence teams. • Experience with Delmia systems, QLIK tools, and Power BI. • Ability to perform manual analysis using various data formats. • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills. #LI-SP1
