Job Title: Senior Associate, Project Engineering Job Code: 45828 Job Location: Huntsville, AL Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours worked, and have every other Friday off Job Description: L3 Harris is seeking a Senior Associate Project Engineer for our Huntsville, AL Headquarters location. The Senior Associate Project Engineer role involves performing and/or coordinating propulsion program tasks in conjunction with program leadership. Under general direction, you will be responsible for implementing design and analysis tasks and overseeing special studies and experiments. Additionally, you will coordinate ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses, as well as perform post-test examination, analyses, and reporting while providing support to the program technical lead. Essential Functions: Provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of engineering techniques Read, interpret, and write specifications and technical documents Prepare technical and design requirements in support of project goals Keep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignments Provide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas Understanding and/or leads Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process May be assigned Earned Value Management duties Review and approve engineering drawings Travel up to 10% Qualifications: To be eligible, applicants must be pursuing a master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering a related field or have completed their master’s degree within the last 12 months, regardless of age.
