As champions of internal mobility and access to opportunity, we encourage our people to "go for it" and equip our managers with the training to coach their teams to the next level. We strive to provide employees a safe space to network, share ideas and create opportunities. To support strong partnership and team connection, this role follows a four day in office work model. Location Overview: The Corporate Communications team is hiring an APAC Communications Manager, based in Singapore. This is a rare opportunity to build and shape Cboe's presence across one of the world's most dynamic regions. Reporting to the Head of Global Communications based in the US, you'll own Cboe’s external communications across Asia-Pacific and have real influence over how the region sees Cboe. While the role is based in Singapore, its scope spans multiple APAC countries. Your initial focus will be expanding Cboe's media presence in key markets such as Hong Kong and Singapore, and scaling into other APAC countries. We're a passionate and dedicated team looking for a sharp communicator who can turn global priorities into compelling regional stories, build durable relationships with the press, and work cross functionally with different teams to bring Cboe's story to life. As the Manager, APAC Communications, you'll be responsible for the following: Help develop and execute a regional media relations strategy aligned with Cboe's global communications priorities and APAC business goals, with an initial focus on growing visibility in Hong Kong and Singapore and the flexibility to extend across other APAC markets. Build and maintain relationships with key journalists and editors across APAC's financial, business and trade media. Lead proactive media outreach, pitching stories, thought leadership and market commentary about Cboe’s business, markets and products. Translate Cboe's key narratives, messages and priorities into angles that resonate with APAC audiences. Work closely with Cboe's APAC Marketing and Sales teams to support their work with retail and institutional partners/customers, including media events, joint announcements and interviews with partner spokespeople. Write and edit press releases, statements, Q&As and talking points for regional initiatives; manage announcements in coordination with the global communications team across time zones. Prepare APAC executives and subject-matter experts for interviews, panels and speaking engagements, and coordinate press briefings and media visits for regional and visiting global leaders. Serve as the first point of contact for regional media inquiries, managing reactive responses and supporting issues and crisis communications in partnership with the Global Communications, Legal, Compliance and Regulatory teams. Monitor regional media and market developments, and deliver regular insights and reporting to the Head of Communications and Cboe leadership. Partner with Cboe's external PR agency to execute against the priorities above. The ideal candidate: Has 8+ years' experience in media relations, corporate communications or public relations, ideally in financial services, capital markets, exchanges, fintech or a leading PR agency. Holds a bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing, business or finance. Has established relationships with financial and business journalists in APAC, particularly in Hong Kong and Singapore. Comfort and confidence with advising senior executives on press engagements. Exercises sound judgment with sensitive and regulated information, and works comfortably within legal and compliance guardrails. Is a team player who works well with global colleagues across time zones. Thrives working in a professional, corporate environment; comfortable being agile and flexible in a fast-paced environment. You'll really stand out with: Entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to build something for the long term, going beyond the status quo in an expanding region. Experience across APAC markets and cultures. Multilingual capabilities: Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, or other Asian languages. Adaptable and nimble, acting on breaking news and moving with the news cycle. Experience managing or working with PR agencies. Any communication from Cboe regarding this position will only come from a Cboe recruiter who has a @cboe.com email or via LinkedIn Recruiter. Cboe does not use any other third party communication tools for recruiting purposes.
