Job description

The Regional Security Office PA-S-AP protects people, places and intangible assets , including information, across its geographical and organisational scope. The role holder leads regional crisis management, resilience and security risk governance with risk oversight, operational challenges and incident or crisis response across Middle East, Africa and Russia. Working and developing wider APAC-MEA regional stakeholders and PA-S central functions in the topic, the role builds preparedness, response and recovery capability. What awaits you? Lead regional crisis management, resilience and security risk governance with decision preparation, stakeholder alignment and continuity when required. Develop and improve crisis strategy, training, exercises and maturity programmes, adapting central standards to regional threats, laws, cultures and operating conditions. Maintain a consolidated view of key security and resilience risks, incident trends, KPIs, mitigation actions and emerging threats; identify gaps and drive corrective measures. Act as the regional interface to central crisis, resilience, incident management and Corporate Security functions, ensuring timely escalation and consistent implementation of requirements. Improve BMW call-out systems and procedures, escalation matrices, contact data, testing and after-action learning, and support incident capture, analysis and corrective-action tracking. Support sensitive investigations, audits and assurance activities with compliant documentation, communications and follow-up of findings. Coordinate country champion responsibilities with local security contacts and promote effective use of the call out systems, data, automation and AI. Travel region-wide, work non-routine hours when required and support other core security priorities as directed. Brief senior management, regional and market leaders on risk exposure, preparedness, KPIs, escalation needs and mitigation actions. Deliver training, exercises, workshops, maturity reviews and after-action reporting that clarify roles, responsibilities and escalation requirements. Maintain alignment with market leads, local security coordinators, designated deputies and central Corporate Security functions. Build an external network of authorities, service providers, specialists, OEM peers and industry bodies to share good practice and strengthen situational awareness. What should you bring along? Bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent) in in crisis management, security risk, resilience, business continuity, emergency management or related work experience. 6–8 years’ experience in corporate security, crisis management, resilience, incident management or security risk governance, preferably in a complex multinational or OEM environment. Relevant qualifications such as ISRM Strategic Risk and Crisis Management, ISO 22301, ISO 31000, incident management, emergency response or organisational resilience are desirable. Project or programme management certification and strong digital literacy are advantageous. Proven delivery of crisis training, exercises, maturity assessments, after-action reviews and resilience improvements across multiple countries or business units. Experience advising senior leaders on risk, preparedness, escalation, crisis response, KPIs and mitigation. Project, programme or change management experience linked to resilience, governance, digital reporting or regional implementation is desirable. Strong crisis, resilience and security risk capability, with the ability to turn strategy into practical processes, exercises, escalation tools and measurable improvements. High digital fluency across Microsoft 365 and relevant security platforms; able to use data, automation and AI responsibly to improve workflows, reporting and decision support. Excellent written, presentation, facilitation and training skills, with the ability to explain complex risks clearly to senior and cross-functional audiences. Strong stakeholder management, influencing and collaboration skills across cultures, countries and organisational levels. Credible, diplomatic and resilient team player with sound judgement, integrity and business awareness. English proficiency at CEFR C1 Advanced or C2 Mastery.
