Market Access Specialist

Job Description Market Access Specialist will manage patient access for assigned products and work closely with local and global cross-functional teams. Working with guidance from the line manager, this role carries out key access activities and builds deeper expertise in pricing, reimbursement and HTA. It requires resilience, a willingness to learn and solid functional expertise. What you will do Develop and carry out access plans for assigned products, to achieve optimal pricing and access conditions in line with business priorities and global access strategies Prepare reimbursement submission dossiers, responses to HTA agency queries and supporting materials for assigned products, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery Support communication with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., HIRA, NHIS), including preparing meeting materials and taking part in discussions Carry out local model adaptations (e.g., CEA, BIM) and analyze local data in collaboration with CORE, GMAx and external experts Prepare documents for regional/global pricing approvals (e.g., NGP, PAR) and keep price information accurate in internal systems Work with business units on product forecasting, gather competitor and policy intelligence, and flag potential price/reimbursement impacts WHAT YOU MUST HAVE 3–5 years' experience in market access or HEOR in the pharmaceutical industry, academia or an HTA agency Hands-on experience preparing at least one reimbursement submission or economic evaluation dossier Functional Knowledge: Medicine, Epidemiology, Pharmacoeconomics, Statistics Skills: Communication, Model adaptation, Data analysis, Documentation; basic negotiation skills Leadership Behaviors: Customer and Patient Focus, Collaboration, Results Driven, Learning Agility License / Certificate: PharmD or PhD preferred Additional location(s) Compensation Information: Required Skills: Adaptability, Clinical Program Management, Cost Analysis, Data Analysis, Developing Pricing Strategies, Health Economic Modeling, Health Economics, Market Access, Market Development, Market Research, Networking Relationships, Pharmaceutical Pricing, Pricing Processes, Product Management, Strategic Thinking Preferred Skills: Current Employees apply HERE Current Contingent Workers apply HERE Search Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
