Ongoing full-time opportunity - 35 hrs/week Main office based in Parramatta/Sydney (locations across regional NSW also available), with flexible/hybrid working environment. Clerk Grade 7/8; salary relative to experience from $116,981 - $129,492 + super About the role We are seeking a motivated and analytical Policy Officer to coordinate and undertake policy development. You will provide high-quality analysis and advice to support critical government policy initiatives and commitments. Your responsibilities will include: Conduct thorough research, analyse data, and review alternatives to inform evidence-based decision-making and contribute to the policy process. Deliver a range of project management and administrative support services, including drafting discussion papers, policy briefs, and formal submissions. Prepare and review policy advice to ensure complete alignment with overarching strategic directions and government commitments. Communicate effectively with key internal and external stakeholders, coordinating working groups, committee meetings, and consultations to drive engagement and implementation. Collate information and conduct research for reporting, monitoring, and evaluation purposes to track and ensure successful policy outcomes. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience in policy development for disaster recovery, research, and analysis, complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to draft clear briefs, reports, and stakeholder communications. You possess strong project coordination skills that allow you to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, alongside a collaborative approach and strong interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholder groups.
