Program Manager (Temporary Opportunity - up to 24 months)

In this role, you'll: As a Program Manager within Sydney Road Network Maintenance, you will lead the delivery of a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects that support safe, reliable and resilient transport outcomes for the community. Working across multiple projects and stakeholders, you will drive project delivery from planning through to completion, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. More specifically you will: • Manage and deliver multiple projects across a program of works, including scope development, planning, scheduling, reporting and resource coordination. • Develop works brief, project submissions and project documentation to support informed decision making and successful delivery outcomes. • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contractors, consultants and government partners. • Oversee project budgets, forecasting and expenditure to ensure strong financial management and value for money outcomes. • Communicate complex technical and engineering concepts to a range of audiences in a clear and practical way. • Ensure projects comply with quality, safety and environmental requirements, standards and approvals. • Identify, assess and manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies to support successful project outcomes. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the successful delivery of medium-scale projects that support Transport for NSW's broader objectives. About you You are an experienced project or program management professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working across multiple priorities. You bring strong stakeholder engagement skills, commercial acumen and a proven ability to deliver complex projects while balancing competing demands. You are solutions-focused, collaborative and committed to achieving quality outcomes that make a positive impact for customers and communities. To succeed in this role, you will have: • Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, civil engineering, construction, infrastructure or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience. • Proven experience managing multiple civil infrastructure projects or programs with interdependencies and competing priorities. • Strong project planning, governance, risk management and delivery capability. • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, forecasts and financial performance. • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop practical and innovative solutions. • Working knowledge of procurement, contract management, safety, quality and environmental requirements within a project environment. • A collaborative and outcome-focused approach, with a commitment to integrity, accountability and continuous improvement.
