You may have been part of some big projects before, but this work is legacy-building. Here's your chance to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that also enhance accessibility, sustainability and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined. In this role, you'll: Manage a portfolio of complex projects and programs from inception through to delivery, ensuring outcomes are achieved on time, within budget and aligned to operational and customer requirements. Working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will drive continuous improvement, build strong stakeholder relationships and provide expert project management advice to support informed decision-making and successful project outcomes. More specifically you will: • Manage the development, implementation and delivery of operational projects and programs, including business plans, governance frameworks, operational systems and reporting requirements. • Drive end-to-end process improvements that enhance customer and operational outcomes and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective project outcomes. • Provide expert advice, recommendations and solutions on project issues, risks and opportunities. • Coordinate and deliver projects while balancing operational, commercial, engineering and safety considerations. • Monitor project performance, budgets and milestones, and prepare high-quality reports and documentation to support decision-making. • Identify and apply industry trends, emerging practices and relevant government policies to improve project outcomes. • Develop and implement business and communication strategies that support successful project delivery and stakeholder engagement. • Demonstrate the Five Ways of Leading behaviours to achieve positive outcomes for customers, communities and the organisation. About you You are an experienced project management professional with a proven track record delivering large-scale and complex operational projects. You thrive in fast-paced environments, excel at building trusted relationships and can confidently influence stakeholders at all levels. With a strong customer and commercial mindset, you combine strategic thinking, problem-solving and communication skills to deliver practical, high-quality outcomes. To succeed in this role, you will have: • Demonstrated experience delivering operational projects and programs. • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively. • Strong understanding of transport operational systems and interfaces. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and present recommendations to a range of audiences. • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to develop innovative and practical solutions. • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, deliver results and meet project deadlines. • A collaborative approach, with experience working across multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholder groups. • Sound understanding of project management methodologies, risk management and governance practices. • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent knowledge and experience. • A commitment to customer service, continuous improvement and inclusive workplace practices.
