In this role, you'll: Be the trusted authority for road asset information, leading data governance, standards, assurance activities and stakeholder engagement, to ensure high-quality asset data supports informed decisions and long-term network performance. This will include: • Defining and maintaining Asset Information Requirements (AIR), data standards and specifications in consultation with Asset Custodians, ensuring projects and maintenance handover meet network-wide requirements. • Receiving accepted asset information into the governed asset information environment, including results conversion and upload, resolution of orphan assets and road reclassification. • Leading data quality, audit and assurance reviews; analysing maintenance and pavement condition data to drive integrity, compliance and improvement outcomes. • Supporting Annual Reporting, form development and work centre configuration, and coordinating network-wide and bulk Road Asset Management System (RAMS) updates. • Monitoring data metrics, compliance and risk trends, and contributing to prioritised improvement roadmaps. • Engaging Roads, Maintenance &Resilience (RMR) internal and external Divisions as the escalation point for asset information issues, decisions and quality feedback raised by the Asset Acceptance Team. This is a fixed term position until 30/06/2028 within the NSW South Region, which spans the Eastern Harbour, Central River, Western Parklands, Southeast and Southwest zones. The role can be based at Milsons Point, Parramatta, Wollongong or Wagga Wagga, with periodic travel across the region. About you You're an experienced asset information professional who knows that quality data drives better decisions. You excel at leading stakeholders, navigating complex asset environments and ensuring critical information is accurate, compliant and ready to support the network's future. You'll bring: • Tertiary qualifications in Asset Management, Information Technology, Engineering, a related technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience. • Proven experience leading, coaching and developing a geographically dispersed team of asset professionals, building capability through structured mentoring and buddy arrangements, and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance. • The ability to influence, engage and lead stakeholders across multiple disciplines and RMR Divisions. • Deep expertise in asset information governance, data standards and lifecycle data integration within enterprise asset management systems (e.g. RAMS/SAP). • Strong analytical capability with experience using data to drive insights, improvements and business outcomes. • Demonstrated experience in data quality assurance, audit and analysis across large road asset datasets. • A passion for continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards of asset information quality and integrity. • The confidence to make informed decisions, challenge inconsistencies and champion best practice asset data management.
