Team Leader, Access and Outage Planning

We have an opportunity for a Team Leader, Access & Outage Planning to lead a specialist team responsible for planning, coordinating and facilitating critical electricity network outages that keep our communities connected safely and reliably. Based in Melbourne’s CBD, as part of our Access & Outage Planning team, you'll play a key role in balancing operational priorities, developing team capability and driving continuous improvement across network operations. What you’ll help deliver Lead, coach and develop a team of outage planning professionals, building capability and fostering a positive, high-performing culture. Coordinate planned network outages to ensure safe access to the electricity network while minimising impacts on customers, costs and reliability outcomes. Partner with Network Planning, Engineering, Control Room and project teams to prioritise work and deliver operational outcomes in a fast-paced environment. Drive process improvement, technology adoption and the ongoing optimisation of operational systems including ADMS and related planning tools. You don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of: Strong operational experience within electricity, transmission, distribution, renewables, power generation, data centres or a related critical infrastructure environment. Demonstrated people leadership experience with a passion for coaching, mentoring and developing teams through change and growth. The ability to make sound decisions under pressure, balance competing priorities and build strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups. Technical knowledge of electricity network operations, outage planning or safe network access practices, supported by relevant industry experience, training or qualifications.
