Overview Nuclear Medicine Technologist travel assignment in a hospital imaging department located in Carbondale, Illinois. Start date: 08/10/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: 2,883–3,165. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This position requires a nuclear medicine imaging background and is managed as a temporary travel assignment by Healthforce Healthcare LLC. One week of on-call per month is required. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: 2,883–3,165 per week - Guaranteed hours: 36 per week - Contract duration: 13 weeks - Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m. - Start date: 08/10/2026 - Location: Carbondale, IL - Call requirement: 1 week of on-call per month - Setting: hospital imaging department Responsibilities - Perform nuclear medicine imaging studies using appropriate protocols for diagnostic purposes. - Prepare, administer, and track radiopharmaceuticals according to established procedures and patient safety guidelines. - Calibrate, operate, and maintain imaging equipment; conduct routine quality control and quality assurance checks. - Process and review acquired images; document findings and ensure accurate patient records in the imaging system. - Monitor patients during procedures, address questions, and ensure comfort and safety throughout the exam. - Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, technologists, and other clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate results and adherence to safety standards. Requirements - Nuclear Medicine Technologist with an imaging background, specifically in nuclear medicine. - On-call requirement: 1 week per month. - Active credential in nuclear medicine imaging as applicable to the role. - Ability to work in a hospital imaging department setting. - Availability to start on 08/10/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. - Lab technicians without nuclear medicine experience will not be qualified for this position.
