Experience with indirect tax and extensive knowledge of the relevant legal requirements, particularly within Europe. The ability to assess the indirect tax implications of complex business activities and explain them clearly to different stakeholders. Strong analytical and data-handling skills, including knowledge in Excel and well-founded documentation practices. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English. Danish is an advantage. Experience with energy taxes, customs duties and/or excise duties is an advantage. Experience with SAP is considered an advantage, and familiarity with AI or AI-enabled solutions would be beneficial. You are proactive and structured, with a strong sense of responsibility. You can navigate complexity while making your guidance clear and actionable for people at different levels of the organisation. What you’ll do Act as a trusted internal VAT advisor across multiple tax jurisdictions, translating complex requirements into practical business guidance. Contribute to our indirect tax technology strategy and support the transition towards increasingly digital and AI-enabled tax solutions. Help strengthen VAT and customs-related master data and establish clear, well-documented processes for its ownership, quality and maintenance. Improve indirect tax reporting and advisory processes to strengthen compliance, transparency and operational efficiency. Manage VAT compliance activities, including VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, Intrastat and related filings, helping ensure accurate and timely submissions. Partner with stakeholders on business projects and decisions where VAT expertise can make an immediate difference. Who you’ll work with You will join the Corporate Tax department at Novo Nordisk and work as part of a global tax organisation. Your role will bring you into close collaboration with colleagues and business stakeholders across Denmark and internationally. You will connect specialist VAT knowledge with business needs, data, technology and processes, giving you broad exposure to both operational topics and larger transformation initiatives. The environment calls for collaboration at speed and practical expertise, with opportunities to influence how indirect tax is managed as the organisation continues to grow and evolve. This focus on tangible collaboration and clear working relationships reflects the current Job Ad guidance.
