We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President to join our Traditional Transfer Agency team. This role is located in Singapore. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Support the day-to-day management and oversight of Transfer Agency activities across Singapore and Hong Kong, providing direction, coaching, and leadership to team members while fostering a collaborative and accountable team environment. Lead by example by demonstrating BNY’s principles of Be Client Obsessed, Spark Progress, Own It, Stay Curious, and Thrive Together in daily decision-making, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership. Deliver a high standard of service to Asian investors and clients by maintaining strong control over operational processes, meeting service level commitments, and driving consistent service quality. Act as a key escalation contact for operational matters within the APAC region, taking ownership of issues, coordinating across stakeholders, and driving practical and sustainable solutions. Support client onboarding activities, new fund launches, and change events by working closely with clients and internal teams to ensure readiness, accurate execution, and a smooth transition into business-as-usual operations. Drive operational discipline by identifying process improvement opportunities, supporting automation initiatives, and contributing ideas that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and strengthen the control environment. Demonstrate strong risk awareness by ensuring processes are performed in line with established controls, policies, and regulatory requirements, while proactively identifying issues, control gaps, or process vulnerabilities. Manage work volumes effectively to ensure deadlines are met, quality standards are maintained, and reporting or escalation requirements are completed on a timely basis. Contribute to a positive team culture by supporting employee engagement, encouraging development, and promoting open communication across the local and regional team. Use data and management information to monitor performance, identify trends, support decision-making, and help drive service improvements across the function. Support change adoption and continuous improvement efforts across the team, including the use of digital tools and emerging technologies to enhance service delivery and operational resilience. To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: Proven experience in Transfer Agency or related financial services operations, with strong knowledge of investor servicing, operational controls, and service delivery expectations. Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise teams, providing guidance, oversight, and support in a fast-paced operational environment. Strong client and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and manage issues through to resolution. Solid understanding of risk and control principles, with the ability to identify issues proactively and support a strong compliance culture. Experience in process improvement, operational change, or automation initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively, maintain attention to detail, and deliver high-quality outcomes under deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess issues, coordinate with relevant stakeholders, and implement practical solutions. Proficiency in Mandarin, oral and written, is preferred to support regional client and stakeholder engagement. Japanese language skills would be an added advantage. Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to support oversight, reporting, and decision-making. A collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development, accountability, and partnership across functions. Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 8-12 years of total work experience is preferred, with relevant experience in Transfer Agency, fund services, or financial services operations.
