General Information Schaeffler India is looking for a basic software product developer to join the SW&F (CCP) team in Bengaluru. Responsible for designing, developing, validating, and maintaining basic software product. The role shall ensure robust development and Memory mapping and Allocation of software components and collaborates with cross functional teams to deliver proper quality solution, applying state of the art Automotive Technologies, Engineering Development Tools and Processes. Your Key Responsibilities • Develop and integrate BSW Product which handles project static architecture configuration for automotive ECUs, ensuring compliance with AUTOSAR standards, functional safety (ISO 26262), memory allocation and system architectural requirements. • Design, implement, and debug embedded software across different microcontroller families, using arxml, Basic C, Microcontrollers(Tc3x,Tc4x,Renesas,NXP), memory layouts, Compiler and linker knowledge . • Perform software component modelling, unit testing, and verification, ensuring high‑quality and reliable software delivery. • Participate in technical reviews including Requirements Object Review (ROR), Design Object Review (DOR), and Test Object Review (TOR). • Analyze and resolve software issues using advanced debugging tools (e.g., Trace32). • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, providing technical support to colleagues and contributing to integration/validation activities when required. • Ensure process and quality compliance with AUTOSAR standards, ASPICE guidelines, and internal development processes. • Maintain accurate documentation for design, configuration, test results, and software changes; complete all mandatory organizational training. • Continuously improve and upgrade skills, sharing knowledge with team and staying updated on new microcontrollers, tools, and automotive software trends. Your Qualifications Education • B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related engineering discipline Experience • 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in AUTOSAR and embedded software development. • Strong programming skills in C • Experience with automotive software development and ECU architecture. • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and V-Model processes. Technical Skills • Strong understanding of AUTOSAR layered architecture: MCAL, ECU Abstraction, Services • Proficiency in C programming for embedded targets (MISRA-C awareness preferred) • Strong Knowledge on memory allocation mechanisms, linker scripts, Autosar Memmap. • Working knowledge of automotive development processes: ASPICE, ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) • Software Architecture and Design • Unit Testing and Integration Testing • Requirement Management Tools (DOORS, Polarion) • Configuration Management Tools (Git, SVN) • Debugging and Root Cause Analysis Good to Have • Experience working on ASIL A/B/C/D projects. • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE.
