Job Title: TM – Data Core Job Code: XXXXXX Designation: MGR / Sr MGR – Cluster Core Ops Band: M1 Function: Technology Sub-Function: Circle Core Ops Reports To: TL – Data Core No. of Direct Reportee 0 Location Type: Circle- MTX No. of Direct + Indirect Reportee 0 Job Purpose Responsible for operations and maintenance of Circle Data Core nodes along with CLOUD infra which includes fault handling, managing system uptime, performing routine O&M activities, complains analysis, support configuration changes and new implementations/Expansion, KPI analysis, and coordination with different functions. Key Responsibilities DATA Core Availability & Reliability Own end-to-end availability of Data Core platforms (MME, SPGW, EPDG, PCRF, DNS, FW, CGF/CGNAT and associated Cloud infrastructure) emergency handling. Carry out preventive and periodic maintenance, disaster recovery preparedness, backup availability, Attend HW and SW faults. Operations & Lifecycle Management Coordinate with planning, SNOC and central operation team for raising CR, impact analysis, scheduling, carry out pre / post testing, KPI analysis and deviation analysis in coordination with CR owner and CHM team On field support for software upgrades, patch deployment, feature activation, licensing and capacity expansion. Customer Experience & KPI Governance Extract and analyze circle DATA customer experience KPIs including all KPI of MME, SPGW, PCRF, EPDG, DNS, FW etc. work on customer, enterprise and VIP complaints Carry out KPI monitoring, degradation analysis and improvement with CPM, SNOC, CODE and OEMs. Effective use of KPI monitoring tools like Anritsu / Ribbon etc Deployment & Technology Transformation Participate in field readiness for new node deployment, modernization, cloud transformation and traffic migration. Support peer integration and troubleshooting, validate Function AT and redundancy testing results. Technical Operation Participate in investigation and resolution of complex technical issues, architecture reviews and operational decisions. Analyze revenue leakage and other cases being reported by RA and other functions. Do analysis and take actions. Field Operation Maintain spare inventory, backups, RS&R, audit compliance, security, LI/RA and MTX/Data Centre governance Carry out routine MTX visits to identify Key risks at MTX in terms of Power, earthing, cooling, Fire, physical safety etc., identify risk and highlight for necessary action Skill Enhancement Build technical capability, learn new and cross domain technology, impart knowledge sharing sessions Technical/ Functional Competencies Data Core Architecture • 5G NSA/SA • GTP, Diameter, Map Signaling • Data Core Call Flows • MME/SPGW/EPDG/PCRF/DNS/FW configuration and operation • Cloud (VNF/CNF) • IP/MPLS • Linux • KPI Analytics • 5G NSA, IMS and VONR, Automation & AI-enabled Operations understanding is added advantage Hands on Operation experience of PACO nodes like MME, SPGW, EPDG, PCRF, DNS, FW, CGF/CGNAT Multi-Vendor Core Platforms exposure like CISCO, Ericsson, Nokia, Mavenir OEM L1/L2 certificates on Packet Core Behavioral & Leadership Competencies • Team Player • Learning agility • Analytical Problem Solving • Customer first •Go Digital • Communication & Collaboration Qualifications & Experience Minimum Education Qualification B.E./B.Tech – Electronics and Telecommunications Years of working experience Minimum 2 to 5 years total, Minimum of 1+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience within the Packet Core Domain.
