At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. Job Overview The Senior Systems Engineer will act as an end-to-end technical integrator across the product lifecycle, connecting component-level inputs with system-level requirements and lifecycle considerations. Working with senior technical engineers, Principal Engineers, and subject-matter experts who lead the deep understanding of the customer’s system/application and how TE’s components interact within that system, the Systems Engineer will take that understanding and provide the discipline around requirements, interfaces, and traceability, ensuring that requirements, risks, and mitigations are carried through component design, process development, automation, verification, and validation. This role requires sufficient technical understanding to engage effectively with technical specialists, evaluate interactions and implications across disciplines, and translate ambiguous customer and stakeholder needs into structured, traceable requirements. The Systems Engineer will maintain an end-to-end system perspective and coordinate specialist inputs rather than serve as the primary deep-domain expert for individual components, technologies, or manufacturing processes. Job Requirements Requirements Management: Review customer drawings, specifications, application requirements, and other technical inputs, and translate them into structured and verifiable requirements. Own requirements decomposition, RTM, interface management, risk/mitigation traceability and change-impact assessment, ensuring that requirements, risks and mitigations are carried through component design, process development, automation, verification and validation with appropriate methods and objective evidence linked through the RTM. Risk Management & Quality: Facilitate and coordinate DFM and PFMEA activities with the responsible design, manufacturing, quality, and process SMEs. Ensure these activities are completed and that identified risks and mitigations are aligned with requirements and carried through component design, process development, automation, verification, and validation. Maintain structured risk registers throughout the program lifecycle, proactively identify system-level risks, and ensure clear ownership and traceability of mitigation actions. Process and Automation Development: This role will ensure that critical product/system requirements and mitigations don't get lost as the design transitions into manufacturing processes and equipment. Production Intelligence Analysis: Mine ERP data to identify yield patterns, change order trends, and process gaps and explicitly connect that learning back to requirements, risk controls and verification strategy. Legacy Learning Integration: Systematically analyze previously released products and apply historical production data and manufacturing learning to new product development. Explicitly connect that learning back to requirements, risk controls, and verification strategy to prevent recurring issues in new product launches. Systems Level Thinking : Act as the technical integrator and liaison among senior technical engineers, Principal Engineers, subject-matter experts, Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, Automation, and suppliers throughout the product lifecycle. Take the deep technical and customer system/application understanding provided by these functions and maintain the discipline around requirements, interfaces, assumptions, risks, mitigations, and verification evidence, while maintaining an end-to-end system perspective. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Engineering, Automation, suppliers, and other relevant functions to ensure end-to-end requirements alignment, traceability, and lifecycle continuity. Technical mentoring: Coach and mentor engineers in structured systems thinking, validation strategy, and data-driven decision making — supporting capability development aligned to the Systems Engineering Maturity Roadmap. What your background should look like Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering ,Mechatronics or related engineering discipline. 8–12 years of progressive experience in systems engineering, preferably within medical devices or other regulated industries such as aerospace or automotive. Proven track record of influencing cross-functional teams and driving measurable engineering improvements using production data and risk analysis. Proficiency with relevant AI-enabled engineering and productivity tools. Nice to Have - INCOSE Associate or Certified Systems Engineering Professional (ASEP/CSEP) certification or any Requirements Engineer certification. LEADERSHIP AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS Proven ability to influence cross-functional and globally distributed teams without direct authority — using technical credibility and data rather than organizational hierarchy. Strong technical communication skills: capable of presenting complex system behavior and data-driven recommendations to both engineering teams and executive stakeholders. Customer-facing experience: ability to translate customer application needs into system requirements and participate in requirements, traceability, and verification and validation readiness discussions. Proactive, system-level problem-solving orientation. TE VALUES : Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork, Innovation, Inclusion
