Job description
Hypebeast Ltd. is a global contemporary-culture company founded in 2005 and publicly listed in Hong Kong in 2016. The Group brings together media, creative services, commerce, cultural intelligence, brand building, merchandise, and physical experiences. Its businesses include Hypebeast and its media network, Hypemaker, HBX, Hypemind, Hyperoom, and Hypebeans. Across these businesses, the Group brings people closer to contemporary culture through the stories it tells, the products it curates, and the experiences it creates.
Hypebeast is looking for an Associate Account Servicing Director to lead the Account Services team in New York. Reporting to the VP, Brand Partnerships North America, you will own everything after the sale for North American brand partnerships: client servicing, campaign delivery, and the billing and accounts receivable workflow behind them.
You will lead a team of Senior Account Managers and Account Managers, working closely with Sales, Production, Ad Ops, Legal and the Finance team in Hong Kong to keep client commitments, delivery records and invoicing aligned.
Responsibilities:
Act as the lead point of contact for key clients after the sale, building long-term relationships and developing strategies to grow existing accounts.
Lead and develop the Account Services team of Senior Account Managers and Account Managers, setting service standards and overseeing key accounts.
Oversee campaign delivery from RFP to wrap, working with Sales, Creative and Production to deliver on scope, timelines and KPIs.
Partner with Ad Ops on campaign setup, pacing, delivery reporting and reconciliation, ensuring delivery information is accurate and available for client reporting and billing.
Present to and influence clients and internal stakeholders, reporting account performance and team results to leadership.
Manage team resources so the department runs efficiently and profitably.
Commercial Operations & Finance Coordination:
Own the post-sale financial workflow for NA campaigns: IO reconciliation, billing schedules and invoice accuracy, working with Finance in HQ.
Ensure signed agreements, IOs, POs, client billing details and payment terms are complete and accurately recorded before invoice requests are submitted.
Keep campaign records clean in Flux (line items, actuals, cost sheets) so billing closes on time each month; support month-end reconciliation with delivery confirmations and explanations of billing changes or unbilled work.
Track accounts receivable with Finance, follow up overdue invoices with clients and agencies, and escalate disputes and collection risks early.
Resolve billing discrepancies and client invoice queries, working with Sales, Production, Ad Ops and Finance.
Act as the main NA contact for Finance and Legal on contract terms, PO requirements, vendor setup and payment questions.
Maintain clear records and handovers across the team, improving workflows to reduce missing documentation, billing delays and manual rework.
Requirements:
4+ years of Account Direction experience at a media company, publisher or creative agency, including team management: hiring, managing freelancers, and motivating and supervising staff.
Prior experience working within a Media Sales team, managing key accounts, with a demonstrable network of contacts within the industry.
Experience working directly with clients from RFP through delivery, leading Senior Account Managers and Account Managers alongside Sales, Creative and Production teams.
Hands-on experience managing campaign billing, invoicing and accounts receivable for a media company or creative agency, working across time zones with a global finance team.
Strong attention to financial and operational detail, including contracts, purchase orders, billing schedules and reconciliation.
Working knowledge of digital advertising campaign delivery and Ad Ops workflows.
Proven track record of delivering KPIs, growing key accounts and retaining business.
Understanding of team resourcing and how to run an efficient, profitable department, reporting results to leadership and business stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to liaise between clients, internal partners and cross-functional teams to deliver on time.
Proactive and self-directed, with a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently and within a team, manage multiple priorities, and set and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Comfortable combining client leadership and team management with hands-on operational follow-through.
Experience in fashion, streetwear or culture-driven media is a plus.
If you think you’ve got what it takes, please provide your cover letter, CV and expected salary.
This position is based and located in New York. Candidate must be eligible to work in the US.
Personal data collected is for recruitment purposes only.
