Geospatial Design and Visualisation Officer | Graphic Designer

In this role, you'll: Deliver high-quality creative and technical graphics services, including mapping, publication layouts, data visualisation and infographics, to support the development of transport planning strategies, studies and strategic business cases. Work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand project objectives and deliver visual communication products from initial brief through to final delivery that support strategic transport planning projects. Interpret insights and information to develop creative, accessible and engaging design solutions that align with Transport's accessibility requirements (WCAG 2.0 AA) and copyright permissions. Contribute to the development of work briefs for procuring graphic design, copywriting and other creative expertise to deliver specialised programs of work. This is a temporary opportunity available from 12 October 2026 to 31 August 2027, based at Milsons Point with flexible hybrid working arrangements. The role will require attendance at both Milsons Point and Macquarie Park offices one day per week. About you Your experience in graphic design, visual communication, publication design or a related field will enable you to translate complex information into engaging and accessible publication layouts, reports, infographics and other visual content. You are experienced in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, as well as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint in a Mac environment. You're an energetic, creative and collaborative professional with strong communication skills, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes. Experience with MAPublisher for Illustrator and an understanding of geospatial integration and technical illustration will be highly regarded.
