You’re looking to embed yourself in projects of different sizes and become part of a team that’s shaping the landscape across NSW. You're ready to help shape our narrative. Your expertise will amplify the impact of initiatives, foster public trust and ensure our stakeholders are engaged and empowered by what we do. Working as part of a high-performing media team supporting the Eastern Sydney Infrastructure Projects & Programs, you will deliver high-quality media, issues management and public relations support to ensure Transport for NSW communicates clearly, accurately and effectively with customers, stakeholders and the broader community. You will support proactive and reactive media activities, including preparing media materials, developing releases, statements and announcements, coordinating media events, crafting speaking notes and providing strategic advice to business partners. Working across a wide variety of critical and sensitive projects, you will often operate within tight timelines. You will monitor statewide media, help manage emerging issues and crisis communications, and deliver impactful content that protects and enhances Transport’s reputation. Along the way, you will build deeper experience in issues management, government communications and cross-agency collaboration. You will lead the delivery of accurate, timely and strategic media outputs that support strong public messaging, improved customer communications and effective issues management in a high-volume, fast-paced environment where priorities shift quickly and stakeholder expectations are high. About you Your sound communications judgement, understanding of the media landscape, agility, writing capability and stakeholder engagement skills, developed across journalism, media relations, public affairs or similar communications roles, will see you excel in managing competing priorities, resolving complex media issues and delivering high-quality, accurate content under tight deadlines. This will contribute to clearer public messaging, smoother media engagement and an enhanced organisational reputation. You have an eye for detail, excellent written communication skills and a passion for telling impactful stories about Transport's programs and projects that support regional communities in their everyday lives. You’re recognised as a confident communicator who can craft accurate, compelling content, navigate sensitive issues and operate effectively in complex environments where high-stakes communications and cross-government coordination are essential.
