Mechanical Technician Nestlé Gympie Maintenance Team Location: Nestlé Gympie Factory, Queensland Employment Type: Full-Time (weekly wage) The Opportunity Nestlé Gympie is seeking a motivated and safety-focused Mechanical Technician / Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance Team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the reliability and performance of one of Australia's leading coffee manufacturing facilities. Working as part of a dedicated maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation across our manufacturing, filling & packaging and utilities areas. Key Responsibilities •Perform planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance activities. •Diagnose and repair mechanical equipment faults in a timely manner. •Support breakdown response and troubleshooting activities. •Execute maintenance work in accordance with safety, quality, and GMP requirements. •Participate in continuous improvement and breakdown elimination initiatives. •Complete maintenance documentation and work orders within SAP. •Assist with shutdown planning and execution. •Work collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, Contractors, and fellow Maintenance Team members. •Contribute to equipment reliability improvements and asset care programs. About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: •Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Maintenance, or equivalent. •Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills. •Experience maintaining pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic systems, valves, and rotating equipment. •Commitment to workplace safety and safe work practices. •Ability to work effectively within a team environment. •Strong communication and problem-solving skills. •Computer literacy and willingness to utilise maintenance management systems. •Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environments is desirable but not essential.
