SEO Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE A fast-growing European AI SaaS company in the business communication space is looking for an experienced SEO Manager to serve as its in-house lead. This is a high-ownership, high-impact role where you will define and execute the company's global search strategy — spanning both traditional search engines and emerging AI-driven discovery platforms. You'll be the single owner of SEO across all markets, starting with the DACH region and scaling internationally. This role is ideal for someone who has owned SEO as a primary, full-time responsibility at meaningful scale and is eager to operate with significant autonomy and budget in a fast-moving, growth-stage environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own end-to-end SEO strategy and execution across all markets, beginning with DACH and expanding globally. - Collaborate closely with website and engineering teams to define how pages are built and structured — leading technical SEO from the ground up. - Lead keyword research and develop a coherent approach for both traditional search and AI-generated results (GEO/AEO). - Commission or personally write content required to achieve top rankings. - Manage a monthly SEO budget of €20,000–€30,000. - Work with external agencies where beneficial, while retaining full ownership of strategy and outcomes. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Required: - Proven track record of building SEO at significant scale — as a full-time, dedicated role with demonstrable results. Industry is less important than the scale you've operated at. - Strong international SEO expertise — you know how to approach and succeed in markets beyond your home region. - Fluency in both English and German (essential). - Hands-on experience with website platforms such as Webflow or similar tools. - Strong copywriting skills — you can write well and understand the value of quality content in driving rankings. Nice to Have: - Experience in B2B SaaS or AI/tech product environments. - Familiarity with optimising for AI-generated search results and emerging discovery channels. - Experience managing external SEO agencies or contractors. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Salary: €65,000 – €100,000 annually, depending on experience. - Significant ownership and influence over a growing global SEO function. - Substantial monthly budget to drive real results. - Visa sponsorship is available for qualified candidates. LOCATION This is an on-site role based in Vienna, Austria. Candidates should be prepared to work from the Vienna office. Visa sponsorship is available.
