Technical Support Officer

In this role, you'll: Join Sydney Trains' Underground Services team, where you'll play an important role in supporting the management and protection of critical rail infrastructure assets. The rail corridor contains a vast network of both visible and underground utility services managed by Sydney Trains, as well as external agencies and authorities. These assets also extend beyond the rail corridor and are essential to the safe operation of the network. The Underground Services team provides high-level technical information on the location and nature of these services to support asset management, project planning, and hazard identification activities. As a Technical Support Officer, you will provide technical support across signal, electrical, and civil disciplines to assist with Sydney Trains' asset management programs and routine maintenance activities. You will be responsible for reviewing and assuring Detailed Site Survey (DSS) plans to meet compliance, registering plans within the plan management system, and maintaining a range of technical databases to ensure accurate and reliable asset information. About you • Demonstrated ability to read and review technical drawings. • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of small technical databases. • Demonstrated experience in Adobe Professional, Power Point, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and other relevant software packages. The salary for this position is RC3 ($89,790.00 - $99,832.00) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading. This role is based in Auburn (Clyde Hub) with hybrid work arrangements.
