Learn more: jti.com Reporting to: Area Commercial Sales Manager Duty Post: Valenzuela City, NCR Work Arrangement: Field-Based Territory Development Leader The Territory Development Leader is responsible for driving sustainable business growth within the assigned territory by strengthening JTI brand equity, acquiring consumers, and achieving sales and distribution objectives. The role leads and develops a field sales team composed of Product Sales Representatives, Assistant Product Sales Representatives, and Sales Drivers, where applicable. It works closely with Finance, People & Culture, and Field Marketing to execute territory plans, manage controls, and deliver key performance indicators. What You Will Do People Leadership and Field Coaching Lead, motivate, and develop the territory sales team through clear objectives, regular coaching, performance feedback, and individual development plans. Strengthen team capabilities and support career development through relevant training and mentoring. Manage territory and field-force requirements, including territory structures, route plans, and staffing needs, to achieve coverage and distribution objectives. Sales Strategy and Business Development Partner with the Area Commercial Sales Manager and Field Marketing team to understand consumers, identify business opportunities, and develop territory sales strategies. Drive a consumer-centric approach across the team by applying relevant consumer acquisition initiatives. Translate market and business insights into actionable territory plans that support sales growth and KPI achievement. Customer Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key wholesalers and retailers through regular field visits. Identify customer and territory growth opportunities and develop appropriate action plans. Manage account performance, including target achievement, accounts receivable, daily fieldwork routines, and call procedures. Controls and Compliance Monitor collection and credit efficiency, accounts receivable quality, and aging accounts. Ensure trade returns are managed effectively and in accordance with company policies. Promote awareness of the JTI Code of Conduct and provide the team with appropriate guidance to support ethical and compliant decision-making. Maintain strong controls and compliance across territory sales operations. Sales Information and Administration Maintain accurate trade census and market information and ensure compliance with JTI sales information systems. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of sales reports and data. Prepare business reports, analyses, and administrative requirements. Conduct team meetings and cascades to communicate priorities, provide updates, and encourage the sharing of best practices. Who We Are Looking For Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Preferably 2–5 years of experience in field sales, people management, and team leadership. Good understanding of the FMCG industry, local sales operations, and distribution. Proven people-management, coaching, or mentoring experience. Ability to assess business conditions in the field and recommend practical improvements. Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. High sense of ownership, accountability, and entrepreneurial drive. Adaptable, flexible, and open to change. Effective communicator who is confident in generating and sharing ideas. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and digital tools. Fluent in Tagalog, with intermediate English proficiency. Knowledge of the local dialect is an advantage. Good driving skills with a valid professional driver’s license, B1 or higher. Strong understanding of controls and compliance within sales operations.
