The opportunity EY GDS is seeking an experienced Senior Manager with deep Insurance Technology Architecture expertise to support and lead large-scale transformation programmes for global insurance clients. The successful candidate will combine strong consulting experience, hands-on architecture leadership, and deep knowledge of insurance core platforms to drive technology transformation initiatives, support business growth, and act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders. Your key responsibilities Lead architecture and solution design activities for complex insurance transformation programmes. Act as a hands-on Solution Architect, providing technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, from shaping and design through delivery and implementation. Define target architectures, integration strategies, cloud adoption roadmaps, and technology standards aligned with business objectives. Provide architecture leadership and governance across implementation teams, ensuring solution quality, scalability, security, and maintainability. Drive technical delivery by working closely with business, architecture, development, testing, integration, and infrastructure teams. Leverage deep expertise in Guidewire, EIS, or other core insurance platforms to support solution design and delivery. Build trusted relationships with client executives, business stakeholders, architects, and technology leadership teams. Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert during pursuits, RFP responses, client workshops, and proposal development activities. Support sales and go-to-market initiatives through solution shaping, estimations, technical presentations, and bid management activities. Contribute to development of Insurance Technology offerings, accelerators, reference architectures, and thought leadership materials. Support capability growth within the practice through coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and development of architecture competencies. Lead by example and help build a strong culture of technical excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support recruitment, talent development, and growth of architecture and engineering capabilities across the Insurance practice. Skills and attributes for success Ability to bridge business and technology discussions and effectively engage with both executive and technical stakeholders. Strong consulting, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. To qualify for the role, you must have Extensive experience in Insurance Technology Consulting, Enterprise Architecture, or Solution Architecture roles. Strong expertise in Guidewire, EIS, or other leading insurance core platforms. Proven track record delivering architecture for large-scale insurance transformation programmes. Deep understanding of insurance business processes, operating models, and technology ecosystems. Strong hands-on experience with enterprise integration, API-based architectures, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and modern application architectures. Proven experience supporting sales activities, proposals, and strategic pursuits as a technical SME.
