Position Summary The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring that all dishware, utensils, and cooking equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with health and safety standards. This position supports the culinary staff by providing a steady supply of clean dishes and tools, enabling chefs and kitchen staff to focus on preparing high-quality meals for the guests. Essential Functions The following duties are considered essential to this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made for qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. Wash dishes, cookware, and utensils using commercial dishwashing machines and by hand. Ensure all dishes and kitchen equipment are properly sanitized and stored. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area and kitchen. Remove trash and recyclables from the kitchen area in a timely manner. Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning tasks as needed during busy periods. Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the supervisor. Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Fill in and provide coverage across restaurant and dinner theater areas as assigned or directed by managers. Perform other duties assigned in support of the essential operations. Participate in staff meetings, safety briefings, and required training sessions. Support other departments as needed. Minimum Qualifications Required Must be 18 years old. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy kitchen items. Strong work ethic and reliability with punctual attendance. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision. Basic understanding of sanitation and cleanliness standards. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Good communication skills and a positive attitude to work well within a team. Must successfully pass a criminal background check in accordance with company policy. Uniform/appearance standards Preferred Previous experience as a dishwasher within the restaurant industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is an advantage.
