Executive/Senior Engineer, Power

Job Purpose The Executive Engineer, Power will assist the Section Manager and be responsible for the operations and maintenance of all Power Equipment in compliance with SMRT Quality Objective as stated in the Quality Procedure/ Work Instructions/ Work Records to provide a safe & reliable train service to our commuters. Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of an Executive Engineer are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time. Assist the Section Manager in managing maintenance home-base daily activities, preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of the following systems: 22kV AC Distribution System 750V DC Traction Power System 415V AC Service Power System Uninterruptable Power Supply System Assist the Section Manager in conducting engineering analysis and investigation of faults in power systems. Assist the Section Manager in providing technical advice to the assistant engineer and technical officer. Lead in the recovery and rectification of power systems faults. Carry out authorized 22kV switching & operation of SMRT 22kV AC Distribution System. Undertake projects in power equipment modification/retro-fit, condition monitoring and procedure improvement for power maintenance branch. Undertake any other tasks or functions that are incidental or ancillary to the performance of assigned work. Qualifications & Work Experience Degree in Electrical field. Skills Power System & Operation 22KV Switchgear Rectifier & Inverter 415V Switchboard, Battery & Charger 750V DC Switchgear Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) and Emergency Power Supply (EPS) MRT System Work Safety Course Electrical Safety Railway Operating Procedure (Maintenance) SFT & Familiarization / Interactive Session for COA
