Head of Product Design

ABOUT THE ROLE A leadership role responsible for shaping the design of an AI powered procurement product. You will lead a small design team within a fast growing product organization and help ensure the product remains user friendly while integrating human oversight with AI agents. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Define how humans and AI agents collaborate across the product to enable an agent native experience. - Shape the interaction paradigm where agents execute workflows and buyers supervise and handle exceptions. - Develop mental models, UI patterns, and frameworks to make complex procurement decisions legible and trustworthy. - Own and evolve the design system and component architecture to support agent driven development and rapid iteration. - Translate procurement concepts into accessible UX for non analysts users. - Build, hire, and lead a design team of around four product designers and set standards for craft, speed, and impact. - Position design as a strategic partner within the product trio alongside product and engineering. - Promote UX research practices and advocate for real user problems across the company. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - 6+ years in product design with 2+ years leading a design team at high growth tech companies known for design excellence. - Extensive experience designing data heavy, workflow driven products and applying systems and reusable interaction patterns. - Fluency designing AI native experiences involving LLMs, agents, automation, and trustworthy human oversight. - Ability to operate as both a strategic design leader and a hands-on product designer. - Strong English communication skills. - Startup experience or equivalent project complexity with demonstrated performance in demanding environments.
