8/6 FIFO roster from Perth (Residential also available) Permanent role with a leading gold producer Tertiary Qualifications in a Mining Engineering or related discipline The Opportunity: Put your engineering expertise to work at St Ives, playing a hands-on role in shaping the underground infrastructure that supports our mining operations. Reporting to the Senior Engineer: Mine Projects you will be responsible for planning, designing and scheduling mine infrastructure projects that enable the safe, efficient and sustainable extraction of gold — from near-term priorities through to longer-term operational requirements. You will make an impact on site by delivering practical mine infrastructure solutions that support production and the broader mining operation. Your ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders, collaborating closely with the onsite Fixed Plant team to coordinate priorities and will assist in delivering effective outcomes. You will own the infrastructure schedule, keeping projects on track and ensuring delivery aligns with operational priorities, project requirements and agreed timelines. Required to keep a close eye on costs, actively tracking project expenditure and ensuring delivery remains within approved capital budgets. You will ring a flexible, solutions-focused approach, stepping up to support the wider team with additional projects and priorities as required. Up to six months’ free, company-provided accommodation may be available for eligible candidates from under-represented groups (for example, women in mining and Indigenous Australians) relocating to Kambalda for permanent roles. Accommodation includes basic furnishings and utilities and is subject to availability and housing policy, with support available to assist with transitioning to a lease after the initial six-month period. Why You’ll Love Working for Us Permanent role with a leading gold producer 6% site allowance, monthly private health insurance allowance Quarterly bonus up to 10% per annum, 5 weeks annual leave, long service leave after 5 years, paid parental leave 10K employee referral bonus What You’ll Do Mine planning design work, level/area extraction plans, three-month schedule, and infrastructure requirements Design and optimise underground mine infrastructure (multiple mines) to support the Life-of-Mine strategy including but not limited to, level and stope designs, scheduling, ventilation, mine services, fuel bay, dewatering, pastefill, escapeway installations, surface infrastructure to support underground Competency in underground ventilation and statutory requirements, acting in the capacity of Ventilation Officer or Deputy, responsible for maintaining and updating the Ventsim model Manage pastefill activities and design requirements in conjunction with the Pastefill Crew and Foreman, generating pastefill notes, reticulation designs and liaising with other departments Project and contractor management for both short- long term infrastructure projects Role model our core values and create a culture where every team member feels seen, supported, and valued. What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualifications in a Mining Engineering or related discipline and manual driver’s licence. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, and mining software Deswik CAD and Scheduler (a must) and Ventsim Competent report writing, presentation and communication skills to all levels of the business Substantial Underground practical engineering experience is essential A growth mindset, with strong communication, responsibility, and relationship-building skills.
